Slice House by Tony Gemignani is seeking dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Kitchen Team Members to join our growing restaurant team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering high-quality food and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen.

Back of House Team Members may assist in a variety of kitchen functions, including food preparation, cooking, dishwashing, cleaning, stocking, and general kitchen support. Team members will be assigned duties based on business needs and experience.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Kitchen Support

  • Prepare food items according to company recipes, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Assist with cooking, assembling, and plating menu items as assigned.
  • Maintain proper portioning and presentation standards.
  • Stock and replenish ingredients, supplies, and kitchen stations throughout the shift.

Dishwashing & Sanitation

  • Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and kitchen areas.
  • Assist with cleaning tasks including floors, workstations, storage areas, and equipment.
  • Ensure all sanitation and cleanliness standards are consistently met.

Kitchen Operations

  • Set up and break down workstations before and after shifts.
  • Receive, store, rotate, and organize products and inventory.
  • Follow all opening, shift, and closing procedures.
  • Support team members across multiple kitchen functions as needed.

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Properly handle, label, store, and rotate food products.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following company safety procedures.

Teamwork & Professionalism

  • Work collaboratively with managers and fellow team members.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Support restaurant operations by assisting wherever needed.
  • Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

  • Restaurant, kitchen, food preparation, or dishwashing experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
